Our history
Founded in 1880 as a milling operation, Tressages du Dorlay has adapted to changing market conditions. Historically situated in the Loire region, specifically in Lorette, between Saint-Étienne and Lyon, the business originated from harnessing the motive power of the river "Le Dorlay". Such industries proliferated in our region due to the accessibility of this energy source. Back then, mills served as the means to transmit the mechanical energy required to operate the machinery.
