Choose the right electrical cross-section for my grounding braid depends on its material. For all tin-plated copper braidswe've created a table below showing the correlation between current and electrical cross-section .

Choosing the right electrical section

We advise you to choose the right electrical cross-section for your grounding braidsimply check the current or electrical cross-section of your installation. So, for example, with a 45-amp electrical installation, a grounding braid in tin-plated copper with a 6 mm² cross-section will suffice.

As a reminder, electrical standards recommend the use of an earth or ground conductor with at least the same electrical cross-section as the installation.
